The Mesquite Arts Council allocates local grants, funds and resources for the arts, provides needed services to artists, member organizations and the community; is an advocate for culturally diverse arts programs and is active in the community with regard to cultural planning, development and advocacy of the arts. Additionally, the Mesquite Arts Council manages the Mesquite Arts Center and the Public Art Program for the City of Mesquite.

MAC Presents

The Mesquite Arts Council funds several free events throughout the year for the communities of North Texas. The annual Spring Barn Dance and our new Courtyard Series are popular public events. The largest is Dia de los Muertos which brings musicians, dancers and artists to share their craft and celebration with over 3000 attendees at the Mesquite Arts Center.

The Arts Council also provides support for the Arts Center’s educational programming that brings performers and artists to teach classes in hip-hop, DJ 101 and silkscreen. The Art Center’s curatorial program produces art exhibitions and clinics for adults and children’s participation. Discover MAC Presents to learn and play.
